"The fundamental mission of motherhood now is the same as it always was: to nurture, protect, and instruct children, to create a home environment that enables them to learn and grow, to help them develop a heart for God and his purposes, and to send them out into the world prepared to live both fully and meaningfully."
-Sally Clarkson from the Mission of Motherhood

School Easter Egg Hunt

Henry had his school egg hunt today. For homework, the kids had to make their own basket out of a milk carton. So, David was kind enough to paint Henry's green (using leftover paint from the slide on the treehouse), and then Henry decorated it. He was very proud of himself. These pics were taken tonight...after a sugar-filled day of egg hunting (already had his bath & he's still wired)...but I bet you can't tell that at all by these pics! (haha)

Church Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday we went to our church's Easter Egg Hunt. Can you find Henry in this pic?!? Henry had so much fun riding the train and jumping in the bus that were set up in the parking lot. Then he came in for a snack, a cute sippy cup as a favor and a fun Easter Egg Hunt with friends! Sorry, Grant, I'm not sure why I don't have any pictures of you! I guess I was too busy chasing Henry!
Henry was trying to figure out how exactly he was going to get down. The answer turned out to be with my help!

Just Playing Around the House!

We had fun just playing around the house for part of the day Saturday. David had been gone all week, and it was nice just to be home as a family! I feel like sometimes I only take pictures of events, so here are pics of the ordinary!
Grant and Grace love playing in the playroom. Whether it's the train table or the kitchen, they care not a bit! They're happy just to be together.

Henry's First Soccer Practice

Henry had his first soccer practice and scrimmage last night. They had so much fun, and we had a blast watching him. Henry had quite the cheering section: Uncle Michael, Aunt Lindsey, Grandmother, Mimi, Papa, Mommy, Daddy, Grant & Grace! Mimi even brought shakers and Henry would say, "Mimi, cheer!!"

Grant and Grace playing "peek a boo"

The snack may have been the highlight for the kids!
Henry walking to the car with his proud Dad and proud Uncle!
I had to add this funny pic of Henry the other day. He could not get away from the babies, so he put his chair on the couch. Bless his heart, even up that high Grant and Grace continued to beg for cheerios!

Easter Bunny = Easter Funnies!

Henry LOVED the Easter Bunny. He went up there, gave him high five and rattled off an incredibly long wish list! HA! I hope the Easter Bunny was taking notes. I'm not sure he could have written fast enough though.
Me adding the twins to the pic.....Grace is looking at me like I have done something terrible!!

Maybe Grant & Grace aren't scarred for life? They literally started wiggling their way out of his lap to run towards me! They were 100% fine as soon as they were no longer touching him. Maybe next year they'll like the Easter bunny if he brings them some good surprises this Easter!

Grace to Grant, "We've been kidnapped! Why are you not panicking right now?!?!?"

Henry's like, "They're pitching a fit. They'll quit in a minute. Nothing unusual guys."

Turning Into a Ham!

Henry has really started posing for the camera lately, and it cracks me up! Here are a few pictures from before his first soccer practice on Sunday night and also at the park this afternoon. We are loving this pretty weather! The kids love to play outside, and it wears them out, which is nice for me. They were all sound asleep by 7:45 tonight.

Sweet Boys!

Grant and Grace can now climb on the couch. Grace loves to walk around, but Grant is content to snuggle and watch tv with Henry...so sweet!!

Last night we had dinner at Grandmother's to celebrate Lindsey's birthday! Michael is marrying into some Italian family and has learned their family spaghetti recipe, so he made it last night. The meatballs were delicious! Thanks, Michael, and Happy Birthday, Lindsey!

We have been loving this pretty weather! David has worked so hard in the yard (and I even pressure washed our sidewalk today!) Above: Henry eating ice cream in the tree house. Below: Grant & Grace waving at "Dada" on the lawnmower.

Soccer Shoot

I took Henry to Soccer Locker today to get his cleats, shin guards and socks for soccer this Spring. Opening night is only 9 days away! We don't have our uniform yet, but luckily he has his uniform Sara brought him from Argentina. He has been sporting his soccer gear this afternoon and practicing with his goal in the front yard with David.

This is a video of Henry playing soccer. Excuse my terrible videography! I was actually just experimenting with this. This is my first HD video upload. I thought I had to pay extra for this, but it is free! I have not posted any videos since we got our HD camera, because I thought I couldn't! I'll have to post videos more often now! :)

Spring Break Weather, Finally!

Finally a day during spring break when it actually feels like spring outside! We headed to the park, and the kids had the best time! Grant and Grace are starting to really enjoy the park. We like going to the ones that have the rubberized soft surfaces so that they can get down and play without worrying too much about getting hurt.

A St. Patrick's Day Playdate

Olivia, Caroline, Carter, Lily, Henry & Maury having a picnic lunch
Grant and Grace enjoyed their lunch too. Grace discovered she loves Zoe's chicken salad. She kept saying, "Bite! Bite!" I think I gave her more than I had, and then later we caught her trying to eat it by the handful off of someone else's plate! Grant, however, spit it out. It must be too girly for him!
We had so much fun at Caroline's house today! Lily, Olivia, Ella Grace, Maury & Carter all came to play...nine kids in all! They had so much fun, ate a picnic lunch in the floor, and then enjoyed green jello, green iced sugar cookies, and St. Patrick's Day cupcakes from Ashley Mac's. Hopefully we wore the kids out and everyone will take big naps!

This picture was taken Sunday night at Mimi & Papa's house. We went and had BBQ for dinner with them. On Monday and Tuesday, Nana & Papa came and stayed with us. I hear they had so much fun, but I did not get any pictures due to being at work! Thanks, Nana & Papa, for keeping the kids!
